2020 NAPA 401(k) Summit Adds 3 SECURE Act-Focused Sessions

NAPA 401k Summit Orlando, SECURE Act

The 2020 NAPA 401(k) Summit is still on for September in Orlando, but a virtual summit option has been added.

With the SECURE Act—and its nearly 30 provisions that directly impact retirement plans—now law, there is a palpable sense of urgency among advisors to familiarize themselves with the changes and the business-building opportunities they present.

The NAPA 401(k) Summit, scheduled for April 26-28 in Orlando, has stepped up to the plate by announcing the addition of three dynamic SECURE breakout sessions in order to gain unique perspective on what it all means for 401k-focused advisors and their clients.

This is in addition to a special “Hill to Summit” opening general session at the conference which will also discuss implications of the SECURE Act, widely considered to be the most substantial retirement reform legislation since the Pension Protection Act of 2006.

The newly added sessions as provided by NAPA Executive Director Brian Graff are as follows:

Retirement income has long been the option that participants say they want—but implementation issues, portability problems and fiduciary fears have long left them at arm’s length in 401k plans. How might SECURE’s portability and disclosure changes boost the prospects for lifetime income options? And how will that affect your business?

SECURE includes significant increases in tax credits to encourage start-up plans—and small employers who embrace automatic enrollment—for new plans or existing plans that add the provision—can qualify for an additional credit. Find out how these incentives—and others—can help you boost your business, and expand your reference network.

At long last, so-called “open” MEPs (Pooled Employer Plans in the SECURE Act) are a reality. Learn from industry experts how these can build your brand, expand your reach, and enhance your productivity and profitability.

The 2020 NAPA 401(k) Summit will be held April 26-28 at the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, adjacent to the Universal Orlando Theme Park, where NAPA has secured exclusive conference attendee access on consecutive evenings during the conference. Those registered by Jan. 17 will receive complimentary Kids’ Passes to the Sunday Summit After Dark event at the Universal Studio Theme Park.
