Excel 401(k) Digital Series Kicks Off Sept. 14

Excel 401(k) Digital Series, kick off

No mask. No middle seat. No social distancing.

That’s the tagline for the Excel 401(k) 2020 Digital Series, which will kick off on September 14 and continue all the way into late November with nearly 70 original live virtual sessions—one a day—put together by an all-advisor steering committee.

The best part? Advisors can access every one of them for free this year with one simple registration; and then can access any session, any time on-demand.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has forced industry events and conferences to rethink how they can deliver the high-quality educational and networking experiences attendees are used to at in-person events held in premium locales, there is some upside to going digital—especially when you consider the headaches of travel and social distancing in 2020.

While Excel 401(k) 2020 was originally scheduled as a three-day live event in October at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, the Excel 401(k) Digital Series created in its place due to the pandemic, will provide a daily dose of industry education and information spanning three different months through the fall.

Registrants will receive a weekly email on Thursdays containing instructions to select which sessions they would like to attend for the following week. This email will contain links to RSVP for the sessions.

Session registrants will receive emails upon registration, 1 hour prior and 5 minutes before the live session with an access link for the webinar room.

During the live recording, attendees can chat, ask questions, complete polls, and download deliverables. After completion, each session will also be available for viewing on-demand.

Early Session TAPO Highlights

401(k) Specialist is proud to be kicking off the Excel 401(k) Digital Series on September 14 with a panel discussion titled, “3 Digital Drivers of Employee Education & Engagement Success,” featuring four 2020 Top Advisor by Participant Outcomes (TAPO) award finalists: Thomas Brown, Kilie Donahue, Jonathan Schultheiss and Jania Stout, along with moderator John Sullivan, Editor-in-Chief of 401(k) Specialist.

The panel will discuss how advisors can pivot their practice in response to increasing virtual requirements for employee and participant interactions.

A second TAPO panel session is scheduled for September 16, titled, “The Fight for Financial Wellness: How to Overcome Plan Sponsor Objections.” In that session, Sullivan will be joined by TAPO finalists Jeffery Acheson, Larry Deatherage, Jane Hagen and Marta Rodriguez to discuss ways to overcome the most common objections advisors hear from plan sponsors about implementing financial wellness programs.

Then on Sept. 18, 401(k) Specialist and TAPO sponsor J.P. Morgan Asset Management will make the big announcement of the 2020 Top Advisor by Participant Outcomes winner during a live awards presentation featuring guest speaker Anthony Scaramucci.

Additional TAPO panel discussions as part of the Excel 401(k) Digital Series are set for Sept. 22:

“401(k) Performance Metrics that (Really) Matter” with TAPO finalists Kilie Donahue, Austin Gwilliam, Douglas Parker and Jake Rushton; and Sept. 24: “401(k) Facetime: How to Effectively Scale One-On-One Participant Meetings,” with TAPO finalists Joe Brummel, Eduardo Gimenez, Marta Rodriguez and Gerald Wernette.
