State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) today announced its rebrand to State Street Investment Management.
The asset management side of State Street Corporation said the revamp, which includes a new brand name and visual identity, comes as the firm focuses on client growth and engagement as well as product innovation. “Our new brand underscores our mission of investing in our clients as they invest in the markets, delivering tailored solutions, and prioritizing partnerships,” said Yie-Hsin Hung, president and chief executive officer of State Street Investment Management.
State Street said it sought input and feedback from clients, investors, and employees in developing the new brand. The update reflects its “One State Street” approach that highlights collaboration and expanded offerings, along with its attitude towards client relationships, the firm said.
“We’re excited to unveil a new brand that communicates that promise. These changes to our brand strengthen our value proposition, simplify the way we go to market, and improve our clients’ experience across State Street,” said John Brockelman, chief marketing officer for State Street Investment Management.
The rebrand comes after State Street’s latest investor campaign, “Getting There Starts Here,” which centers on the firm’s initiatives, advice, and products that service workers in and out of retirement.
“To us, the word ‘investment’ is not just about the capital markets,” said Hung. “As a firm, we’re investing in our relationships, investing in innovation and investing in the future. We’re helping secure better outcomes for our clients, and we’re pleased to present a new brand name that reflects this.”
The firm has launched several updates in 2025, including its State Street Target Retirement IndexPlus Strategy, which provides access to public and private market exposure for defined contribution (DC) plans and participants, and a new partnership with Voya to expand its IncomeWise Target Retirement Strategies.
Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Boston, MA, State Street Investment Management manages $4.67 trillion in assets and services institutional and individual investors, along with plan sponsors and financial advisors.
