David J. Witz, AIF®, GFS®, CPFA®, BCF™ is a distinguished fiduciary governance expert and Co-Founding Member of The Center for Board Certified Fiduciaries (CBCF™), a public benefit corporation dedicated to advancing professional fiduciary standards and certifying fiduciary leaders. CBCF’s mission includes developing fiduciary education, formal board certification, and promoting best practices in stewardship and governance.

Mr. Witz has over 28 years of experience in investment advisory, retirement plan design, administration, and fiduciary consulting. He serves as Managing Director of Fiduciary Risk Assessment LLC (FRA) and PlanTools, LLC, where he leads the development of fiduciary governance solutions and risk management frameworks. Prior to forming FRA, Mr. Witz held senior positions with multiple national third-party administrative firms, including Principal Financial Group, BGS&G, CBIZ, The Geller Group, and The Newport Group.
