Rachel Fried is Senior Counsel at Democracy Forward, a nonprofit legal organization dedicated to defending democracy and advancing progressive values through litigation, advocacy, and public education.

Prior to joining Democracy Forward, Rachel was a Clinical Fellow and Staff Attorney with the Civil Litigation Clinic at Georgetown University Law Center, where she was lead counsel on APA, FOIA, and other public interest cases. Rachel has argued motions and appeals in state and federal courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
