Sarah A. Holden, PhD, is Senior Director of Retirement & Investor Research at the Investment Company Institute (ICI), where she leads analysis of the U.S. retirement market, investor behavior, retirement and tax policy, and mutual fund trends.  Dr. Holden joined ICI in 1999.  Prior to that, she served as a staff economist in the Flow of Funds section of the Research Division at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.  Over her tenure at ICI, she has held roles such as Senior Economist for Retirement, Tax Policy, and International Research before being named Director of Retirement and Investor Research in 2007.  Her professional contributions have significantly shaped the field of retirement research in policy and industry.
