With over 30 years of experience in the retirement plan industry, Timmerman has been instrumental in guiding organizations toward improved retirement outcomes for their employees.
Before establishing RPA in 2015, Timmerman spent nearly 27 years at Principal Financial Group, where he held the position of Managing Director. His tenure there provided him with a comprehensive understanding of retirement plan management and the importance of participant outcomes. This experience laid the foundation for his vision to create a firm that prioritizes the success of plan participants.
At RPA, Timmerman leads a team that collaborates with a diverse range of clients, including nonprofits, professional groups, and businesses across various industries. The firm offers services such as fiduciary governance, investment consulting, financial wellness programs, and participant education.
