Sunday marks a further return to in-person events when Wealth@wor(k) (formerly Excel 401(k): The Advisors’ Conference) officially begins in Nashville, Tenn.

Advisor2X organizers went with a music/hippie theme in keeping with the host city’s festive atmosphere, apparently now the No. 1 spot for bachelorette parties in the nation.

Preconference options include “Super CE Session: Retirement Plans for Small Businesses” presented by Matthew Savage and sponsored by John Hancock, and the “Women in Transition Workshop: Shaping Change in Retirement,” presented by Susan Bradley and Advisor2X head Ross Marino.

WIPN, fresh off of its rebrand to WE Inspire. Promote. Network. (WIPN) will host its annual cocktail party at the Grand Hyatt Nashville’s rooftop bar.

Head home early because Monday features sessions running concurrently throughout the day, so be sure to choose wisely.

Day one

Morning sessions include a presentation of WIPN research and CAPTRUST’s Jean Duffy and Erica Blomgren’s highly anticipated “Managing the Difficult Committee Member.”

“The opening general session then takes place with Brad Arends, Erin Hall, Jamie Greenleaf, Sam Mitchell, John Clark, and Jania Stout taking the stage to welcome attendees.”

Extremely topical breakouts then begin with titles like “PEP or Group Trust?”, “The Virtual Advisor: The Service Model of the Future?” and “Monetizing the 401(k) Participant: Who “Owns” the Participant?”

Afternoon sessions include, among (MANY) others:

A 5:00 party closes out the first day at Tin Roof, with live music on both floors (it’s Nashville, after all).

Day two

Tuesday begins with an important presentation from Derek Fiorenza, well-known and admired for his charity work, called “Ending Hunger One Advisor at a Time.”

One in six Americans struggles with food insecurity, “Fiorenza notes, “and 22 million kids are receiving federally funded school lunches. Drop by this session to see how you can help your local food pantry end hunger in your community.”

Financial Finesse Think Tank head Greg Ward also presents “Leveraging the Power of an Independent Financial Wellness Platform and a Review of a Special Report on Race and Financial Stress.”

The official kickoff on the second day starts with “Triumph in a Tough Year! The 2021 Top Advisor By Participant Outcomes (TAPO),” hosted by 401(k) Specialist’s John Sullivan. Who will it be? The TAPO finalists take the stage to find out.

American Funds Johnathan Young then takes the stage to deliver “Misbehavin’ in Retirement Plans – It’s Time to Retire That Thinking.”

Other sessions include (again, among many, many others):

The show’s closing party will happen at local staple—and intriguingly named—ACME Feed &Seed, and as always, the Retireholi(k)s will be on hand to do whatever it is that they do.

See everyone in Nashville!
