A Pooled Employer Plan (PEP) is a retirement savings plan introduced under the SECURE Act of 2019 that allows multiple unrelated employers to participate in a single 401(k) plan managed by a pooled plan provider (PPP). PEPs are designed to expand retirement plan access, especially for small and mid-sized businesses, by offering a streamlined, cost-effective alternative to sponsoring a standalone 401(k).
