401(k) Specialist cover subject and pod(k)ast guest Anthony Scaramucci has joined a group of prominent Republicans who oppose President Trump’s reelection to form a Super PAC to aid Joe Biden’s chances.
“The Right Side PAC” says it’s “harnessing the power of former Trump supporters to help Joe Biden win and heal America.”
“Republicans who want to do the right thing will need to be communicated with on a personal level as to why Joe Biden is the man who can mend America’s soul,” according to the group’s website. “In the minds of Republican voters, we must make him more than simply the ‘lesser of two evils.’
“The time has come to be on the right side of history,” it adds.
Scaramucci told The 401(k) Specialist Pod(k)ast that Biden is “kicking Trump’s [tail] in from his basement and he’s played Trump like a fiddle. He’s never taken Trump’s bait and never done all the stupid things the other 17 or 18 establishment politicians did and fell right into Trump’s trap. Joe Biden hasn’t done that.”
Noting that his family is from the coal mining area of Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, “right where Vice President Biden was born” Scaramucci plans on campaigning for him there, as well as in Michigan and Wisconsin.
“I’m going to go into those areas and campaign for him because Trump is a systemic danger to the constitution, he’s a systemic danger to our society, he’s mentally unstable at this point and the fact that we have republicans that know better that are willing accomplices should strike fear in the hearts of people. For me, I have no problem speaking out about it.”
Bush, McCain operatives
The New York Post reports that former operatives from George W. Bush’s and the late Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaigns “plan to lay out Biden’s record on free trade, states’ rights, federal spending and respect for US diplomacy and military alliances to make the case for electing the former vice president over Trump in November.”
They will also highlight Biden’s Catholic faith.
