Personal branding and 401(k) marketing expert Sherri Fit’s third annual SWAY | LIVE is heading to Milwaukee, Wis. this Sunday, and 401(k) Specialist will be touching down as the official media partner for the event.

Fitts, a well-known expert in personal branding for financial advisors and 401(k) marketing, distinguishes SWAY | LIVE from other retirement-focused conferences, noting how the event centers on helping experts amplify their personal brand through storytelling and human connection.

In the era of ChatGPT and the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, Fitts believes it’s now more important than ever to center human connections and voices in the retirement planning industry.

“I looked at agendas that are rightfully focused on technical issues because those are crucial across the financial services industry, and I’m thinking, ‘what’s missing here?’ Well, what’s missing is the human being at the core of everything they do,” said Fitts in a June episode of the 401(k) Specialist podcast. “That’s really what makes SWAY | LIVE different.”

Unlike traditional financial events, SWAY | LIVE includes sessions focused on emotional intelligence, storytelling, art, and even breathwork, all designed to inspire attendees wanting to reconnect with purpose and creativity in their roles.

On day one, attendees will hear from Mike Rayburn, a two-time TED Talk presenter and former Beach Boys guitarist who uses guitar and comedy to teach change and innovation in the corporate workplace. They’ll also hear from Greg Delson, founder and head instructor of the LANDLIGHTS Center for Voice, before kicking off the event with a co-sponsored celebration with WIPN.

Day two starts with a morning Yoga flow, followed by a session featuring retired Army Colonel Chris Kolenda, who will share his lessons in leadership on the frontlines. Later, speaker and author Zee Clarke, who has partnered with Fortune 500 companies including Google, Visa, and HSBC, will speak about intention and how attendees can ensure they’re living and working with meaning and purpose.

Sessions later in the day will focus on overcoming imposter syndrome and anxiety, true stories on personal branding and storytelling, the power of community, choosing risk over comfort, and more.

Attendees will also be invited to participate in SWAY | SPOTLIGHT, an after-hours experience aimed at highlighting personal insights, challenges, ideas, and success stories from members of the community.

Day three will feature another host of panels and discussions, including one that will feature 401(k) Specialist’s Editor-in-Chief Brian Anderson, on the state of the retirement industry today and how panelists are planning for incoming changes.

Attendees will also learn from marketing expert LeeAnn Webster, who will present on how branding strategies and channels, like newsletters, can positively influence advisory businesses.

Other presenters throughout the day include experts Laura Garfield, Lia Bliss, Madison Konermann, and Jefferson Cheshier, before the event concludes with a “Musical Extravaganza” closing ceremony.

We’re excited to see you all in Milwaukee!
