Betterment Advisor Solutions (BAS) has unveiled a new series, “Advisor Exchange,” providing industry insights and advice from independent advisors.

New episodes of “Advisor Exchange” will air every other month for the remainder of the year, featuring conversations with advisors about how they run their business, and the lessons they’ve picked up along their professional journeys. The host and moderator are Thomas Moore, Head of Betterment Advisor Solutions.

“The Betterment Advisor Exchange isn’t just another industry podcast—it’s a space for frank, compelling conversations that get to the heart of why advisors do what they do and how they’ve built their success,” said Moore. “We’re going beyond business strategy to uncover the real stories that have shaped these advisors’ journeys. Our goal is to invite listeners into these conversations, offering inspiration and insights they won’t find anywhere else.”

In the inaugural episode, “Letting Your Niche Find You,” which premiered on March 19, 2025, Moore interviewed Eric Rodriguez, CFP, a former professional soccer player who went on to become a financial advisor specializing in life-centric planning. Rodriguez is the founder of WealthBuilders, LLC, where he helps protect and grow clients’ wealth.

When asked by Mr. Moore how he differentiates himself and his firm from other RIAs, Mr. Rodriguez responded, “I always lead with a financial plan first, because no matter what, I want to make sure we are taking a holistic approach that puts clients first and increases their sense of well-being and life satisfaction.”
