More fallout from the pandemic.

Little surprise, given government directives over large public gatherings, but legendary rockers the Rolling Stones announced that they have postponed their 2020 “No Filter” tour due to the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic.

The tour was sponsored by the Alliance for Lifetime Income, a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization backed by large financial services companies and annuity product manufacturers.

It was the second consecutive year that the Alliance had sponsored the Rolling Stones’ U.S. tour, with the original announcement sparking puns about Mick and the boys’ advanced age.

It was scheduled to kick off on May 8th at the SDCCU Stadium in San Diego, then headed to Vancouver (BC), Minneapolis, Nashville, Austin, Dallas, Buffalo, Detroit, Louisville, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Charlotte, Tampa, and conclude on July 9th at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Protected Income

“The Alliance has closely monitored the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and its effect on communities across the country,” Jean Statler, CEO of the Alliance for Lifetime Income, said in a statement. “We support the Rolling Stones’ decision to postpone the NO FILTER U.S Tour and think it is in the best interest of millions of Stones fans and public health. We look forward to getting back out on the road with the Rolling Stones as soon as we can to educate the fans about the need for protected lifetime income in retirement.”

The Alliance claims 80 million American households are “unprotected,” meaning they don’t have a source of protected lifetime income beyond Social Security.”

The Alliance educates Americans about what it says is the important role annuities can play in providing protected lifetime income in retirement, “so they can enjoy peace of mind and financial security for as long as they live.”

AEG Presents/ Concerts West advises ticket holders to hold onto their original tickets and await further information. For the official Rolling Stones announcement postponing the tour, please go to www.rollingstones.com.
