Dr. Alicia Munnell, director of the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College, joins us to discuss retirement plan coverage, leakage and other issues currently affecting 401ks. Importantly, she tells us what can be done to address them.
Munnell is the Peter F. Drucker Professor of Management Sciences at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. Before joining Boston College in 1997, Alicia Munnell was a member of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers (1995-1997) and assistant secretary of the Treasury for economic policy (1993-1995). Previously, she spent 20 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
With more than 20 years serving financial markets, John Sullivan is the former editor-in-chief of Investment Advisor magazine and retirement editor of ThinkAdvisor.com. Sullivan is also the former editor of Boomer Market Advisor and Bank Advisor magazines, and has a background in the insurance and investment industries in addition to his journalism roots.
