The NAPA 401(k) Summit is rolling the dice this year in Las Vegas with a record-breaking number of industry attendees.
The annual Summit is expected to host over 3,000 financial professionals and 1,400 advisors in what is anticipated to be its largest event yet, all under Las Vegas’ newest Fountainebleau luxury resort hotel. The event will boast a total of 30 sessions and workshops and 136 speakers.
The event kicks off with its yearly “From the Hill to the Summit” address on Monday, April 28, hosted by American Retirement Association (ARA) CEO Brian Graff and featuring tax policy experts Mark Prater and Russell Sullivan, along with former assistant secretary of Labor for EBSA Preston Rutledge. The four will discuss the regulatory landscape under a new presidential administration and a fresh Congress, and what changes lied ahead for advisors and clients.
A host of sessions follow the address, with workshops dedicated towards demonstrating the value of retirement plan services, incorporating lifetime income options into retirement plans, and developing a growth mindset with prospecting strategies.
Attendees will then hear from Liv Boeree, a professional poker player with European Poker Tour and World Series of Poker championship titles under her belt. Boeree will explain the thinking techniques of top poker players, and advisors will learn how to use reduce bias and utilize intuition in their business.
The conference venue will then turn into a casino for NAPA’s Summit After Dark: Casino Royale nightly event, featuring blackjack tables, poker, roulette, and live entertainment.
Day two begins with a slew of sponsored breakfast panels before attendees meet for the first general session of the day on alternative investments in DC plans, where panelists will discuss the current regulatory status and potential risks and opportunities in expanding alternatives assets to retirement strategies.
Morning and afternoon workshops include panelists discussing the future of the three-legged stool, the wealth and retirement convergence, and how to attract talent from outside the financial services industry. NAPA’s Nevin Adams and ERISA Attorney Fred Reish will also be back for a live discussion this year, focused on fiduciary forfeiture reallocation suits, fiduciary best practices, and more.
General session four takes attendees inside the mind of a plan sponsor, with aims to help professionals grow their partnership with employer clients.
The second day caps off at LIV Las Vegas, located inside Fountainebleau, where participants will hear from special guest DJs and dance with views of the Sin City as their backdrop.
The final day of the Summit features sessions on how advisors are utilizing apps like TikTok to create communication strategies for every generation, forecasts on what the retirement industry will look like in 2035, and how advisors can employ social media to grow their practice.
General session 5, the last of the Summit and the final event of the day, includes Endeavor Retirement’s Bonnie Treichel and ARA’s Kelsey Mayo. The two will engage attendees with a fast-paced quiz bowl where participants will answer questions on regulatory nuances and investment strategies.
We’re excited to see you all at this year’s NAPA 401(k) Summit!
