Prime Capital Financial is acquiring SineCera Capital, the financial planning firm announced on Monday.
The move will establish the firm’s Prime Capital Family Office, built to focus on serving the needs of ultra-high-net-worth families.
Headquartered in Austin, Texas, SineCera is a boutique wealth management and family office services firm that advises clients with aggregate assets of $1.55 billion. It was founded in 2019 by Kevin A. Kaylakie, and offers services in estate planning, investment management, complex reporting, bill payments, and banking management.
“SineCera will be the key to expanding our family office offering,” said Glenn Spencer, chief executive officer at Prime Capital Financial. “Their mastery of the UHNW space and commitment to personalized service perfectly align with our mission. This move is strategically aligned with Prime Capital’s focus on expanding our service offerings to meet the unique needs of each of our client segments.”
As part of the transaction, Kaylakie will move to the role of president of Prime Capital Family Office. “Joining forces with Prime Capital Financial is a transformative opportunity for SineCera Capital and our clients,” said Kaylakie. “This partnership allows us to broaden our reach and enhance the tailored services we provide, while maintaining the high level of attention and discretion our clients expect. We look forward to building on our success and contributing to Prime Capital’s continued growth.”
Hue Partners acted as the advisor to SineCera Capital for this transaction.
Prime Capital Financial provides full-service financial planning, including fee-based asset management and wealth management through its Prime Capital Wealth services. Through its Prime Capital Retirement services, the firm also provides retirement plan advisory services, as well as plan participant education. Prime Capital Financial currently has 70 locations throughout the United States, with investment advisor representatives serving clients across the U.S.
The firm rebranded its name last year from Prime Capital Investment Advisors in an effort to emphasize its services outside of a traditional investment advisory firm. Divisions under the Prime Capital Financial brand now include Prime Capital Wealth, Prime Capital Retirement (formerly Qualified Plan Advisors), and Prime Capital Wellness.
Also in 2024, industry expert Jania Stout announced her move to Prime Capital Retirement from OneDigital to lead the firm’s retirement plan advisory services side.
