Registered investment advisor (RIA) Future Capital on Tuesday announced it would expand its 401(k) management services in a partnership with Hantz Group.
Hantz advisors will have access to Future Capital Core, a professional 401(k) management tool that integrates clients’ workplace retirement accounts with their financial planning goals.
“The Future Capital partnership strengthens our ability to serve clients’ retirement planning needs while aligning all of their finances with their planning goals,” said John Hantz, president and CEO of Hantz Group. “Given that more than half of household wealth is held in workplace retirement accounts, incorporating 401(k) management into our practice helps us provide more comprehensive financial guidance to suit their entire financial life.”
Specifically, the solution will allow advisors to integrate 401(k) investments with clients’ financial goals; adjust investment strategies based on changing circumstances; access support tools and professional guidance; and provide oversight of retirement investments.
Future Capital notes how such technologies are beneficial at a time when more workers are enrolled in defined contribution (DC) plans. According to a 2024 study by fintech platform Envestnet, 401(k)s represent 56% of financial assets for households with $100,000 to $2 million in investments. Furthermore, DC plans today hold $11.3 trillion in assets across 80 million participants.
“It’s vital that advisors live up to their comprehensive financial planning description by not only managing the client assets they can easily access but also the ones that are held-away,” added Jay Jumper, chief executive officer of Future Capital. “We’ve seen how this comprehensive approach benefits clients. Hantz and our other partner firms recognize this. As retirement accounts now represent 36% of all financial assets, advisors need effective tools to help clients make informed decisions about these critical investments.”
In addition to their partnership with Hantz Group, Future Capital has also collaborated on wealth management and 401(k) planning services with AssuredPartners Investment Advisors, Axos Clearing, and SS&C’s Black Diamond Wealth Platform.
